Glossy Buttons
- Feb 21 2006
This tutorial will show you how to create those smooth, glossy buttons that are so popular these days.
Tutorial Monkey is a database of technology-related tutorials. We write our own tutorials as well as linking to other ones in the web. If you would like to submit a link to your tutorial, feel free to do so. Just click on "submit" at the top of the page. Note: Images may result in loss of quality due to the fact that we must resize them to fit the design. You can click resized images to see its original image in a new window. Sponsors Step 9
Take your brush and position it outside the button to the right. Hold shift and move it across the button from right to left at a steady pace. You want to try to fill up the bottom quarter with a thick white glow. You do not want any of the white to overlap the top refraction, but you do not want it to be to far down. It may take a few tries but that?s what CTRL+Z is for :-P.
Step 10
When you add text place it in-between the bottom glow and top refraction layers. Pick a color that isn?t too bright because the white top refraction may wash it out.
Completed
And voila! There?s your button, if you want to make a rollover image all you do is simply duplicate the base layer and fill it with a different color. You can now duplicate the button group to any photoshop document and get that beauty on the web.
